NEW
Maximizing FileMaker Performance - Leveraging Late Night Automation
In this session you will learn about and leverage the Server Side Script Execution (SSSE) in FileMaker Server 9. We will be tearing SSSE down to understand its power and limitations. We'll discuss slowly running calc fields and summary results...showing how we can cache these late at night with FileMaker Server 9. Date dependent calcs that reference Get(CurrentDate) can run so slow as to be useless. Not anymore!!! Expect huge performance gains with "pre-cached" data. Easy to use and practical! Don’t make your database "a little faster." Make it smoke! Expectations: If you're new to FileMaker development, this material will be new for you, but you may not fully grasp its importance. You might want to attend this session, and store away the knowledge for when you need it someday. Intermediate developers have probably experienced slow "finds" and slow reports, and would be well served by learning and deploying these techniques. If you're an advanced FileMaker developer, you have probably used "FileMaker Robot" computer previously. This is an extension of that idea.
