| This session will focus on the redevelopment of a system and how it was made HIPAA compliant. It will identify HIPAA requirements as they impact software developers. Once identified, techniques for implanting those requirements in a FileMaker application will be demonstrated. Since HIPAA requirements are open to interpretation, other issues to be explored are the importance of communicating and understanding health care provider's adaptations of these requirements, as well as, mitigating legal exposure. |
