Debbie Asquith has been working with FileMaker since 1989 where she started out in a small Real Estate firm. After poking around in FileMaker, she decided to learn a bit more about it and went to a training class where she met Chris Moyer. She started developing with FileMaker professionally for The Moyer Group (then Chris Moyer Consulting) in 1997. The start of her career focused mainly on Real Estate applications but she soon moved into a wide variety of FileMaker Pro projects. For the past few years, her focus has been on project management. He holds a BA from Arizona State University in Asian Languages (Classical and Modern Japanese; translation theory), was a Japanese English teacher and researcher in Iwatsuki City, Saitama Japan, and a freelance translator of Japanese, specializing in semiconductor wafer fabrication, measurement, and testing. He spent nearly three years as a Senior QA Manager at Electronic Arts with responsibility for all language versions of Tiger Woods Golf, James Bond 007, and Lord of the Rings games, and returned to FileMaker, Inc. in 2005. Currently Terry is the FileMaker Server and Internet QA Manager and acting FileMaker Server 9 Engineering Project Manager.

John Mark Osborne has been working with FileMaker Pro for over 15 years and has become one of the leading industry experts. He's co-author of the popular Scriptology book and CD-ROM. He recently received a prestigious award from FileMaker, Inc. for developing outstanding technical resources for his popular FileMaker Pro Web site, Database Pros (www.databasepros.com), which receives 35,000 hits a day. John Mark is also the sole FileMaker trainer at Macworld Expo, a regular presenter at the FileMaker Developer Conference and writes the Advisor Tips column and is a technical editor for FileMaker Advisor Magazine. Douglas Rawson is the founder and CEO of AENTEC, a 12-year-old engineering firm, and is founder and CEO of Base Builders, a database development company. Doug has presented business seminars to regional architectural (AIA) and engineering (IES) chapters as a way to introduce Praestotm, AENTEC's FileMaker solution. Doug is also the author of several white papers on office protocol. Doug has a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Michael Reddy Ph.D. supervises IT and in-house FileMaker development at Music Together LLC. Running almost entirely on FileMaker, this small but complex company also builds and distributes a vertical FileMaker application. Formerly, Michael owned a woodworking business, which ran on FileMaker software he developed, and previous to this, he was a consultant on Data General minicomputers. Michael was instrumental in introducing Cognos's sophisticated RAD environment, POWERHOUSE, to the Data General platform. He developed a number of different business systems, and wrote for various trade and technical publications. With a doctorate in computational linguistics from the University of Chicago, and six years teaching experience at Columbia University, he is a knowledgeable and engaging speaker.

Katherine Russell is the president of Russellware, Inc., a FileMaker consulting company based in Orlando, Florida. Katherine has been working with FileMaker since 1993 and is a FileMaker Certified developer. She presented the CD training series "New Features of FileMaker Pro 8" for FMPtraining, and she wrote the FileMaker DIY Guide #3, "Taking Control of Your Inventory." Katherine's mission to create peace in the world, one office at a time, leads her to support a wide range of customers to be smart, proactive, creative, and compassionate.

Past clients include Staples, Turner Broadcasting, and Ambrosi. He has spoken at the FileMaker Developer Conference, has had numerous articles published in FileMaker Advisor Magazine and php/architect magazines, and is the author of Web Publishing with PHP and FileMaker. Jonathan is reluctant to admit that he began his programming career more than 20 years ago on a Tandy TRS-80.

Jon Thatcher Jon Thatcher

Jon Thatcher has been part of the FileMaker Server development from the beginning. He helped ship the first Server for Macintosh and developed the first Server for Windows, then took on management of Server development. Jon directed development of FileMaker Pro and Server 7, and managed development of the new database engine for the FileMaker 7 product line. In 2005, Jon went back to being an engineer, and is now the lead engineer on the FileMaker Server development team. Jon has been at FileMaker/Claris for 18 years, and before that was a software engineer at Convergent Technologies, Esvel, and Intel.

Molly Thorsen Connolly is a Vice President and Founding Partner in charge of business development at Soliant Consulting. She has spoken at DevCon and been the technical editor for several FileMaker books and Advisor articles.

Rosemary Tietge is a systems engineer with FileMaker, Inc. and a FileMaker 8 Certified Developer. She works with the sales team in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, communicating the virtues of FileMaker and providing technical guidance to customers. She joined the FileMaker team in January 2006 after eight years as publishing technology manager at Harvard University Press. Rosemary's technical expertise includes modeling publishing workflows, content management, and deploying FileMaker Server. She has presented at Macworld and publishing industry conferences.

Michael Ward started using FileMaker II in 1988. He holds a Bachelor of Business with majors in Marketing and Information Technology and was awarded the Orica prize for best final year student in computing by Swinburne University (Melbourne, Australia). Michael lectured in information technology and marketing at Swinburne University and is now a business development specialist, developing workflow solutions for small businesses. His major interest is in connecting existing FileMaker solutions to the Web using Web 2.0 technologies and Custom Web Publishing. He is a member of the FileMaker Solutions Alliance and is FileMaker 7 and 8 Certified.
