Jesse Barnum started writing screen savers on his Apple IIe at age 12, and immediately fell in love with computer programming. His database experience goes back to PFS:File in the early 1980s, but he started writing databases with FileMaker Pro version 2.1 in 1992. He founded 360Works in 1996, and created a niche integrating FileMaker and Java for organizations such as NASA, the U. S. Marines, and Omnicom. He has created numerous developer tools including SuperContainer, ScriptMaster, the WooF JDBC driver, and AdminAnywhere. Jesse hosts, organizes, and frequently presents at the Atlanta FileMaker Developers group. He is certified in FileMaker 7 and 8, and is a platinum member of the FileMaker Business Alliance.

Joyce Lillemon Boschert is the owner of Cross Platform Solutions, a data management and training consultancy in Virginia. She first learned FileMaker II in 1989, and in 1993 made it the primary function of her business. Joyce is a 7 Certified Developer and joined the Claris Solutions Alliance in 1994; she is a member of the FileMaker Business Alliance and TechNet, as well as her local Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau. Joyce attended her first DevCon in 1998 in Monterey, and co-hosts the Women of DevCon breakfast; she is also a charter member of the FileMaker Chocoholics. Joyce develops custom solutions and teaches FileMaker. She is currently working on a score tracking solution for education. Clay Maeckel was the first engineer hired by Claris Corporation and has the distinction of having the lowest FileMaker employee number. Clay's current title is software architect and he concentrates mainly on the non-GUI portions of the FileMaker products.
